How EndSpam works

EndSpam is a free, community-run reputation database for Australian phone numbers. When you get a call or text you didn’t want, report the number here; when you get one you don’t recognise, look it up to see whether other people have reported it, what they reported it as, and how recently.

Every report is checked for spam and personal information before it counts, written comments are reviewed before they appear, and reports from the same person count once. A number gets its own public page only once several independent people have reported it and at least one has described the call — a single report is not evidence.

Pages show a 0–100 risk score built from how many independent reporters flagged the number, how recently, and what they flagged it as, alongside the carrier and area the number belongs to and practical steps to block it.

How do I check if a phone number is spam?
Enter the number on the EndSpam home page. You will see a community risk label, how many independent people reported it, and the categories they chose — all from public, aggregate data.
Is reporting a phone number anonymous?
Yes. EndSpam stores a one-way cryptographic hash of each number rather than the raw digits, never writes raw numbers to logs, and lets you report without an account.
What do the spam labels mean?
Labels such as suspected spam, suspected scam, telemarketing, and debt collection are derived from the categories chosen by community reporters, weighted by how many independent people agree.
Why is a phone number masked?
A number stays masked to its last four digits until it passes a public-disclosure threshold: multiple independent reports of suspected spam or scam, with no pending dispute or verified business owner.
